One could argue that this theme has been beaten to oblivion, and that, when it comes to models and motors, there’s nothing new under the sun. A flip through Uranov’s latest submission, though, would instantly prove otherwise.
Our long-time photographer has risen to the challenge, using not the interchangeable modernism of today’s anonymous vehicles as a backdrop for the lovely Sandra, but posing her instead with a classic old sedan. His twist on the familiar scene of a girl being used to sell a car is one that Met Art readers will surely appreciate. The car takes an obvious second stage to the gorgeous model draped across it. This shoot is all about Sandra.
Sandra. She’s as classic a beauty as the car in which she rides. Posed first in a pretty red ensemble of a push-up bra and sheer panties, she perches pertly in the front seat of an elegant pale blue sedan. Her glossy lips match the color of her tiny outfit; her robin’s-egg eyes are the same hue as the car that cradles her. The opening shot alone would be worthy of a gallery exhibition.
